Continuing on with the Mayan series. This is part of the pyramid of the Mayan ruins at Chichen-Itza.

(As you can see there was a storm coming...and yes it did rain and I got completely soaked within a matter of minutes. Stupid me forgot my raincoat, so I was caught in a downpour with a bunch of camera gear. Fortunately my backpack gave enough protection while I sprinted to a hut back towards the entrance of the ruins...)

Interesting composition, the contrast is great between the pyramid and the grey clouds :)

Beautifully abstract and the depth and the contrasts are so very nice, even though everything is more or less the same shade of grey :-)
Excellent detail as well, I can almost feel the rocks and stones.
Actually, it's not quite all the same shade of gray, there is a slight color overlay...open it up in Photoshop and desaturate the image, and then the difference becomes more apparent :)

Thanks as always my friend for stopping by and leaving your thoughts.

The contrast in the textures is just brilliant. You've certainly mastered b& w photography.

DA needs more criticism - and not necessarily the constructive kind.

Aheheh... yes, stupid you =P
So clever, how them clouds gradually become darker downwards in the same way the steps gradually get larger downwards.
Darker and larger... meh I dunno, I see some kinda relation there
